Quantity Take-Off Estimator

Operating in a 40,000 sq.ft facility located in Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada, we are equipped with the industries latest software and leading CNC machinery of the highest quality in automation for efficiency & accuracy. AC Metal Fabricating Ltd. provides design assist, engineering and drafting services in 3D (BIM), fabrication and installation services for Structural, Miscellaneous and Custom Fabrications Steel industry.

We are currently looking for a Quantity Take-Off Estimator to join the team and help with the success of development and growth of the company. Responsibilities

• Preparation of work to be estimated by gathering proposal documentation such as; blueprints, specifications and other related documents.
• Provide identification in proposal for required labor, material and time requirements.
• Identify discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Presentation of prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical data.
• Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data.
• Close consultation with the client in accordance with corporate standards.
• Assist Project Managers with purchasing in accordance to allow figures used within estimates.

Qualifications

• Required 5 years of experience in a commercial-technical role which falls under the Structural Steel, Mining, Marine and Manufacturing industries.
• Direct experience with steel processing with an understanding on metal fabrication and installation methods.
• AutoCAD and Tekla Structures skills would be additional strong assets taken into consideration.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to work independently as well as with others and deliver results within a team working environment.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients.
• Strong organizational skills coupled with the ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities.
• Ability to implement and follow related corporate policies and procedures.
